Get help from AI Host during service

Bring up the AI Host panel.

1. 1Open AI Host: click the wand icon (Ask AI Host) in the header, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac). On a phone or tablet tap More › Ask AI Host.

A panel opens on the right (or from the bottom on a phone) with a box to type in. Close it with X or Escape; the conversation is kept until you change date or service.

Type a request in your own words (English, Spanish or French).

1. 1Open AI Host: click the wand icon (Ask AI Host) in the header, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac). On a phone or tablet tap More › Ask AI Host.
2. 2Type in the box, for example any room for a 4 top around 9? or the 7:30 party is running 20 late.
3. 3Press Enter (or the paper-plane button).
4. 4Check the Reading: line (party size, time, area). Tap any part to correct it.
5. 5Pick one of the option cards.

• Or tap a suggestion button above the box, such as Fit a party…, Next free table or Who's busiest?. Suggestions don't use up your daily AI requests.

Things you can ask.

1. 1Find a table: table for 2 at 7, not the bar, walk-in of 3, where do I put them.
2. 2Busy servers: who's busiest?, spread the load evenly, Sam is going home, cover his section.
3. 3Timing: the 7:30 party is running 20 late, give table 6 fifteen more minutes, how long for 4?.
4. 4Tables: put the Lopez party on table 14, hold 12 and 14 until 9, close the patio from 9.
5. 5Online: stop online bookings 8 to 9, slow online bookings.
6. 6Facts: covers this service, arrivals, next free table, open tables, VIPs tonight.

Clear the conversation.

1. 1Click New request (plus icon) under the suggestions.

Each venue has a daily limit (Premium 50, Ultra 200).

1. 1Open AI Host and read N AI requests left today beside the title.

• When the limit is reached, suggestion buttons and the Find a table, Resolve and Suggest fixes panels still work.

Let AI Host find the best table for a booking or walk-in.

1. 1Open AI Host: click the wand icon (Ask AI Host) in the header, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac). On a phone or tablet tap More › Ask AI Host.
2. 2Tap Fit a party… or type the party, for example 4 at 8:30 on the patio. Answer any question (such as how many guests).
3. 3Read the option cards. Untick any extra change you don't want (such as moving another party).
4. 4Press Book it (opens New Reservation with the tables, time and size filled in), Seat now (walk-in), Add to waitlist or Book for 8:45.
5. 5For Book it, add the guest's name and phone in the form and click Create.

• The guest's name isn't carried into the form; type it there.

Paste "table for 6 tomorrow around 7:30, not the bar".

1. 1Paste or type the request into AI Host and press Enter.
2. 2Check the Reading: fields and fix any that are wrong. If it's another day, press Go to tomorrow (or the date).
3. 3Pick an option and press Book it, then fill in the guest in the form.

Two parties are on the same table at the same time.

1. 1Click the triangle (Alerts) in the header and press Resolve beside the overlap. Or tap Fix N overlaps in AI Host.
2. 2Pick an option: move one party, make room, shorten the earlier party's dining time, or Keep both.
3. 3Press its apply button.

Overlap cleared. Keep both hides the alert until the overlap changes.

• Today and future dates only. Start times are never changed.

The Party size alert.

1. 1On the alert, press Resolve.
2. 2Pick a re-tabling and apply it, or Dismiss to keep it.

Use AI Host without opening the panel.

1. 1In New Reservation or Edit Reservation, press Find a table (wand icon).
2. 2Press Use on one of up to three options.
3. 3Click Create or Save.

• Switch on Use closed tables to include closed tables for this booking.

Keep AI Host off the patio on a rainy night, or off a table you're not using.

1. 1Open AI Host: click the wand icon (Ask AI Host) in the header, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac). On a phone or tablet tap More › Ask AI Host.
2. 2Under the service name, press Leave out tables.
3. 3Press All of Patio to leave out a whole room, or press single tables.
4. 4Press the same button again to bring it back, or Include everything to clear the list.

The button reads Leaving out Patio, T12. Every device's AI Host skips them for this service and says what it skipped. The list clears itself after the service.

• Guests and staff can still book these tables. To keep AI Host off a room every winter, use Floor limits in the floorplan builder instead.
• To use a left-out table for one party anyway, name it in your request or switch on Use closed tables.

Give parties without a proper table a clean one.

1. 1Tap the Tidy tonight's floor suggestion.
2. 2Choose a room if you like, tick the fixes, and press Apply N ticked.

One Undo tidy undoes them all.

Spread the load when one section is slammed.

1. 1Tap Help Maria at 8:00 (or Who's busiest?) in AI Host, or type rebalance.
2. 2Or on the floorplan, open the section card that says Overloaded and choose Suggest fixes.
3. 3Pick a fix: give the next seating to a lighter server (Change server), move an upcoming party, or slow online bookings. Apply it.

Reassign a section when someone goes home.

1. 1Type Sam is going home, cover his section.
2. 2Pick Balance sections without Sam and apply it.

Ease the flow when a window is heavy.

1. 1Type slow online bookings or stop online bookings 8 to 9, or tap a Slow online bookings… suggestion.
2. 2Apply the card. A manager PIN is usually needed.

Quick floor changes in your own words.

1. 1Type, for example, hold 12 and 14 until 9, close the patio from 9 or give table 6 fifteen more minutes.
2. 2Apply the card.

• Closing an area lists the parties that need another table.

See the moves before applying them.

1. 1On an option card, press Preview on floor (eye icon).
2. 2Look at the arrows on the floorplan, then press Apply, Edit or Back.

Make the change.

1. 1Press the card's main button (Apply 1 change, Book it, Seat now…).
2. 2Pick your name or enter your PIN if asked.

An applied card lists what changed, with Undo.

• Applying needs an internet connection. If the floor changed meanwhile, AI Host refreshes the options.

Put things back.

1. 1Press Undo on the applied card.

• Undo is blocked if someone changed those bookings since.

Decide whether AI Host changes need a name or a manager PIN.

1. 1Open Application Settings › Action stamping.
2. 2Set Apply AI Host changes, Change online pacing and Reassign servers with AI Host.
3. 3Click Save stamping rules.
